This weekend was the Charlottesville Men’s 4 Miler. There is a huge, women-only, 4 miler race every September to raise money for UVA’s breast care center, and in 2004, the men in town decided they needed a race of their own.
The race used to be in December, but in 2011 the directors decided they should move it to Father’s Day weekend, and they also struck a deal with UVA to have the finish line be the 50 yard line in the football stadium. It’s pretty cool!
Chris has been doing the training program for a few months, and he had a lot of fun getting out there this weekend and running the race with his buddies.
